The After Later Audio Beehive is a functionally identical clone of the Mutable Instruments Plaits. It strikes a nice balance between size, reducing 12hp down to 8hp, and playability by offering full size knobs for the four main functions. Beehive also retains the same depth of the original module at 25mm. This module uses new aluminum knobs which have a nice non-slip texture and allow for more finger space over the standard 1900H Davies knobs.

PLAITS MACRO-OSCILLATOR

Plaits is the spiritual successor of Mutable Instruments’ best-selling voltage-controlled sound source, Braids. Not just a mkII version: its hardware and software have been redesigned from scratch.

Just like its predecessor, it offers direct access to a large palette of easily tweakable raw sonic material, covering the whole gamut of synthesis techniques.

Gone are the screen, menu system, hidden settings, and the long list of somewhat redundant synthesis models.
